Banksy - Exit Through the Gift Shop

I managed to see the new Banksy film, Exit Through the Gift Shop (trailer here) last weekend. The venue was The Lambeth Palace - a temporary cinema in a tunnel under Waterloo Station, which was also the previous location for the 2008 Cans Festival

The temporary cinema. Popcorn was available too...

The queue for the film

The walls of Leake Street. Every inch covered in tags, graffiti and art.

The film itself is very funny and deals in the main with a French documentary maker who follows and films graffiti and street artists. Things take a turn for the surreal when he meets and befriends Banksy. Even if you know little about street art or graffiti, it's an entertaining film, and one I plan to see again soon. It's out March 5 in selected cinemas throughout the UK.
